Annealing is a thermal process in which a strip is passed through a temperature regulated annealing furnace. As the strip passes through a tunnel type furnace, it is heated to a designated annealing temperature at which time a hardened strip softens and the physical stresses in the rolled steel are relieved. A continuous annealing line is when there are two uncoilers and the strip from the two uncoilers are welded or stitched together permitting the line to run continuously. After the annealing process, the soft coiled strip is sent to the temper mill where it is uncoiled and rolled once again. Contact Casey Equipment for quote on used annealing lines for sale.
